Thank you for choosing The Oak Potch guesthouse. Please take a moment to familiarize yourself with our Terms and Conditions below:

Check-In: 14:00

Check-in time is between 14:00 and 20:00 unless prior arrangements have been made. No check-in will be made after 20:00, unless arranged with management. This is necessary to ensure the security, comfort and well being of other guests.

Check-Out: 10:00

Late check-outs are only possible if rooms are empty the following day. You are welcome to have a cup of tea and relax in our lounge or we can hold your luggage until you are ready to depart. Guests that check out after 10:00 without prior arrangement will be liable for an extra night’s Accommodation, as we will not be able to service the room in time for new arrivals.

Early check-out is possible as guests can leave their keys in the key box at the gate.

Deposit

We require a 50% deposit within 48hours from booking request to secure a reservation.

Payments

We accept MasterCard and Visa credit/debit cards. We do not accept or store any cash on the property. We may not accept any foreign currency.

Quiet Hours 22:00 - 06:00

Please respect other guests and keep quiet inside of the guesthouse past 22:00

No Parties

The Oak Guesthouse is a quiet guesthouse and other guests should not be disturbed. No parties, events or gatherings are allowed at the guesthouse

Noise Free

Please remember that you are sharing the guesthouse with other guests and with the owners – please behave accordingly. Please be aware of fellow guests if coming in very late or leaving early from the guesthouse, and when watching TV or playing music. We reserve the right to terminate bookings if faced with unreasonable or anti-social behavior.

We do not tolerate racist, sexist, homophobic or otherwise discriminatory language or behavior and we reserve the right to terminate a booking on receipt of a complaint. Please contact the owners as soon as possible if you have an issue with the behavior of a fellow guest.

Visitors

No more than 2 visitors per booking is allowed

Visiting Hours 14:00 - 20:00

Only paying guests are allowed to sleep over at the property. Guests that are not booked will be asked to leave at the owners discretion. A penalty of 100% of the overnight fee will be charged if this is ignored.

Pool

No children are allowed near the pool without adult supervision.

Pets

For the comfort of other guests, The Oak Potch guesthouse does not allow pets. If you have a registered assistance dog, please inform us prior to booking.

Smoking

Smoking is not permitted in the rooms or the manor house, but ashtrays are provided on the private patios.

Cancellation - Flexible - 5 days

The guest can cancel free of charge until 5 days before arrival. A 10% administration fee will be charged for deposit repayments. The guest will be charged the total price of the reservation if they cancel in the 5 days before arrival.

Liability

Although the guesthouse takes reasonable steps to ensure the safety and security of guests and their possessions, guests agree on behalf of themselves and the members of their parties that neither the establishment, its owners, employees nor agents shall be responsible for any injury or death of any person or the loss or destruction of or damage to any property upon the premises, whether arising from fire, theft or any cause and by whomsoever caused or arising from the negligence (gross or otherwise) or wrongful act of any person in the employment of the guesthouse.

Any damage caused by guests to property and premises due to bad behavior or carelessness, or keys lost and replaced for security reasons will be for the guests account.

The guesthouse cannot be held liable if any of the following events or conditions prevents the guesthouse from fulfilling its obligation to Guests. The guesthouse will take all reasonable steps to minimize disruption and discomfort to guests under these conditions:

  • Unanticipated interruption to the electricity, water, sewage from or on the guesthouse property.
  • Industrial action, civil uprising or criminal activity.
  • Fire, frost, flooding, subsidence or any other force majeure event.
